Paul Moore has been a familiar voice in the Philadelphia Irish Music scene for almost 25 years.
Born into an Irish-American family in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, he graduated from
North Catholic High School. While studying history at Temple University, he also attended Trinity
College, Dublin for a year as a student of Poet Thomas Kinsella. It was during this time that his
love of Irish music and his desire to perform was solidified. He counts Liam Clancy, Christy Moore,
Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Leo Moran and Shane MacGowan among his musical influences.

From his beginnings to now, Paul's journey has included 6 music tours of Ireland, recording 5 popular
CDs and headlining over 1,500 Live shows including The Penn's Landing Irish Festival, the Mid-winter
Festival in Valley Forge, PA and concerts from Boston to the Jersey Shore. With several bands to
his credit; Blarney Stones, Blackthorn & Paddy’s Well, he has also performed 20 engagements at
“Irish Weekend” in North Wildwood NJ; the largest Irish Music Festival along the East Coast.
In addition, he has appeared on 610-WIP Radio’s “Morning Show with Angelo Cataldi”, the weekend
show with Rob Charry, as well as appearances on CBS-3 and Fox-29 television. He has also performed
with comedian Joe Conklin at benefits for a variety of causes.

“The Paul Moore Band” is his current music project. Playing alongside friends, old and new,
the band performs contemporary & traditional Irish music along with Paul’s original songs. The
band keeps the “First Friday” music tradition alive and well at Brittingham’s Pub each month.
His heartfelt vocals, steady acoustic guitar and keen connection with the audience continue
full speed ahead into the future. There is also a new CD in the works for the New Year. Paul is
a long time member of the Ancient order of Hibernians and currently lives in Lafayette Hill, PA
with his wife Geri & children, Cait, Eoin, Daniel & Conor.
