Patrick Close is originally from Belfast, County Antrim and brings a great mix of music styles to the band. He has a wealth of knowledge in Irish folk and traditional music to go along with his fondness of rock and roll, blues and playing electric guitar.

Pat first came to the USA in the mid 1980s and found work in music at the Jersey Shore in North Wildwood. His first band, "The Patriots", was a trend setting group with a wonderful mix of folk, rock and rebel music that played to audiences at Michaleen O'Flynn's for several years in North Wildwood. Patrick then went on to found one of the great Celtic breakout bands of the 1990s; "Causeway". Along with band mates Gerry Clark, Kim Killen, Keith Richards, Bill Binkley, Karen Boyce, Patsy Ward and others...Causeway blazed a music trail all over the Delaware Valley for 15 years and recorded a popular CD.

Since Causeway's final show in 2008 Patrick has played with "The Brigade" as well as doing some solo work until eventually hooking on with The Paul Moore Band to start 2011. Patrick & Paul have known each other since his days with the Patriots and they've remained friends through the years. They have combined together on a few songs recently including Jacinta and Donegal Eyes. Pat's ability on both electric and acoustic guitar are well respected in the Philadelphia music scene and his vocal harmonies and stage presence are a welcomed addition to the band. Pat currently resides in Downingtown PA.
